Security Guide

1. Set a PIN During Wallet Export

After starting Valhalla with /valhalla start, you’ll be prompted to run /valhalla export_keys.

  • During export, set a PIN code
  • This ensures that even if your Discord account is compromised, no one can access or withdraw funds from your wallet without the PIN
  • If you forget the PIN, we can reset it — but there will be a waiting period

2. Don’t Store Your Exported Keys Online

If you export your wallet keys to use Valhalla on multiple devices (e.g., PC and phone):

  • Never save them online (no Google Docs, Telegram, email, Discord DMs, etc.)
  • Write them down and store them physically (on paper) in a secure location

3. Limit the Funds You Keep in Valhalla

While Valhalla is actively maintained and secure:

  • Do not keep more than you’re willing to risk in your Valhalla wallet
  • Withdraw profits regularly to your main wallet or exchange
  • Avoid storing long-term capital in the trading wallet

4. Use Risk Controls in Settings

You can reduce risk using built-in options under /settings_dlmm → Wallet Settings → More Settings:

  • SOL-only Mode — Limits trading to SOL pairs only
  • Set a Stop Loss — Automatically exits positions when they drop below a % loss
  • Single Pool Per Token — Prevents opening multiple positions on the same token
  • Set Min Token Age, Min Market Cap, and Jupiter Score filters — Avoid newer, low-liquidity, or manipulated tokens
  • Max Open Positions — Set a cap per wallet or time window (e.g., 5 per hour)

5. Use Proper Copy Ratios

Incorrect ratio settings can cause much larger losses than the wallet you’re copying.

  • Use /ratio-help to learn how to scale your copy trades safely
  • This ensures you don’t overexpose your wallet on small trades or miss big ones due to max size caps

6. Keep Your Discord Account Secure

Since Valhalla operates via Discord:

  • Enable 2FA on your Discord account
  • Secure the email address tied to your Discord with 2FA as well
  • Avoid sharing screenshots of your trades or setup publicly
  • Never click links or run commands from unknown users

7. Withdraw Profits and Diversify

  • Take profits in SOL or USDC regularly
  • Transfer to a hardware wallet or trusted exchange for storage
  • Don’t leave large amounts idle in your Valhalla wallet
